Man City news: Ex-teammate issues Jack Grealish ‘guarantee’ after latest
Alan Hutton has admitted Man City will have to wait until next season to see the best of Jack Grealish after a “frustrating” cameo against Liverpool.
The former Villa defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested his old teammate is still adapting and learning to play under Pep Guardiola.
Grealish, 26, came off the bench to play the final seven minutes of Sunday’s 2-2 with Liverpool.

He had started the last three league games but dropped to the bench against both the Reds and the Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid.
Hutton admitted Grealish would be disappointed not to start such crunch games.
However, he “guarantees” the 2022/23 campaign will be the playmaker’s season.
Asked if Grealish would be frustrated by his substitute cameos, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It will be (frustrating) but I think when you go to Man City, you’re part of the group.
“You’re not just the one individual player within the team, like he was at Villa, where everything goes through you.
“When you go to City, you’re just a cog in the bigger picture, the bigger wheel, if you want. He has to get used to that a little bit.
“That being said, this is his first season. He’s getting used to something totally different, a totally new way of playing, a different style.
“He has to fit into that. It’s going to take time. I sit here and I guarantee that next season will be his season because he’s learned from it. He’s got used to it.

“Then we’ll see the best of him. He’s finding his feet still, there’s no doubt, but the quality is obviously still there.”
Grealish has played 32 times for City since his £100million move from Villa.
