Man City news: Mills verdict on Jack Grealish having head turned after critical development
Jack Grealish’s seven-figure Gucci deal will not distract him from his efforts at Man City, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-City and England full-back insisted the partnership was no different to a boot sponsorship.
The Athletic reported last week (4 April) that Grealish, 26, is on the verge of signing a seven-figure endorsement contract with Gucci.

It is claimed he will become an official ambassador of the luxury Italian company in an unprecedented move for a sportsperson.
“Why would it be different to a Nike deal or an Adidas deal or a Puma deal? It’s not, it’s just Gucci, it’s just another name,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“You’re not telling me that all these other players don’t have EA Sports contracts or FIFA contracts. They are all commercial entities, whatever it might be.
“How many adverts has Ronaldo done over the years?
“It’s probably going to be a couple of photoshoots, a couple of afternoons. He’s not going to be in the office nine to five.
“I’m pretty sure he’s not running his social media so isn’t doing all his Instagram and Twitter stuff. Really, what does it mean?

“He’s a pin up boy for them, he’ll do a few photoshoots and that will be it really.
“We’ve seen players do shampoo adverts in the past, it’s no different. Because the name Gucci is more luxury goods, people start to think about the money. If it was head and shoulders the time commitment is no different.”
In other news, Man City have a Fernandinho replacement ‘lined up’ and two Premier League stars are on the shortlist.
