Man City news: Pundit shares ‘incredible’ Jack Grealish claim
Jack Grealish could go on an “incredible” run of form after scoring his first Man City goal since mid-December.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the attacker’s return to form.
Grealish scored as Man City beat Peterborough 2-0 in the FA Cup on Tuesday (1 March).
This was his fourth goal for the club since joining in a £100million deal from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021.
Kenny insists criticism aimed at Grealish has been unfair and predicted an upturn in form.
“Goals breed confidence and that is what every player needs,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I don’t think he’s done badly at all. He had a big price tag on his head and I think that is swaying people, the criticism has been unfair in my opinion.
“It’s a big change for him. He was a big fish in a small pond and now it’s the opposite.
“It takes time to settle, even at clubs when you are surrounded by some of the best in the world.
“He will wish his performances and his record was a bit better but the only way he can change that is if he knuckles down.
“He has loads of time to do that and now he’s back from injury I’m sure he wants to show why City paid all that money for him.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he goes on some kind of incredible run now, that’s the kind of player he is.”

Grealish has made 26 appearances for Man City this season.
He could return to the starting lineup in the Premier League for this weekend’s Manchester derby (6 March).
