Man City news: Robinson issues ‘incredible’ claim after £537m announcement
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Man City for their “incredible” revenue streams.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said the “huge sponsorship deals” would not be achievable without a successful product on the pitch.
On Monday (21 March), Man City topped the Deloitte Football Money League for the first time with revenue of £537million.

The Cityzens beat Real Madrid, Man United and Barcelona to top spot for the season 2020-21 and became only the fourth club in Europe to do so.
Pep Guardiola’s side won the Premier League and League Cup that year and fell short at the final hurdle in the Champions League.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Man City’s impressive revenue, Robinson said: “Everything has loopholes and everything has ways round it. They seem to have utilised that very well.
“The revenue that comes into that football club is extortionate, it is incredible.
“It is useless without the product on the pitch though. Winning trophies and everything that surrounds that brings that revenue in.
“It is not just because of their owners. They have huge sponsorship deals which are achieved from their success on the pitch.”

Man City are on course for another exceptional year on and off the field.
Pep Guardiola’s side are currently top of the Premier League and into the latter stages of the Champions League and FA Cup.
