Man City news: ‘Scary’ Erling Haaland claim issued after new transfer twist – pundit
Man City will be a “scary” side capable of conquering Europe and the Premier League if they sign Erling Haaland this summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed opposition sides will instruct three defenders to man-mark Haaland which will open up space for the rest of City’s attacking talent.
Football Insider first revealed earlier this year (12 February) City were in pole position to sign the 21-year-old superstar thanks to his family links to the club.

The Daily Mail reported last week (18 April) they are now ready to trigger his £63million release clause and will hand him a £500,000-a-week contract.
“Pep knows that he needed a striker, that’s why he tried to get Harry Kane last summer,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“He knows he needs a striker although he’s doing a great job without one but deep down he knows he’s always had a striker.
“He will bring in a top striker and if Haaland does come then Man City will conquer Europe and the Premier League for a long time.
“Man City have got players that teams double up on. You could need three defenders to stop him so that will open so much space to the likes of Sterling, Foden, Grealish, Mahrez, De Bruyne and Jesus.
“It’s going to be scary if he signs.”

Haaland has scored 25 times in 27 games across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this season.
The Leeds-born striker has found the net 58 times in 64 Bundesliga games for the club.
