Man City star Bernardo Silva is getting ‘transfer listed’ as fans stunned by footage

Man City star Bernardo Silva has been mocked for his shocking penalty attempt in the shoot-out against Real Madrid on Wednesday night (17 April).

Pep Guardiola’s double treble hopes were extinguished after they lost the penalty shoot-out at the Etihad after battling out a 3-3 aggregate scoreline in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The juggernauts fought out an energetic European tie in the second leg with Rodrygo bagging for the away side in the 12th minute and Kevin De Bruyne slotting home in the 76th minute.

But Carlo Ancelotti’s outfit eventually came out on top with Antonio Rudiger scoring the winning spot kick after Mateo Kovacic and Silva missed their chances for City.

However, fans were quick to comment on Silva’s “laughable” attempt to give the Citizens the edge.

Julian Alvarez slotted home the first penalty, but Real Madrid legend Luka Modric squandered the chance to put his side level – giving Silva the perfect opportunity to help his team to the semis.

But his tame straight-down-the-middle strike proved easy pickings for Madrid’s shot-stopper Andriy Lunin, who caught the ball with ease.

Fans have taken to social media to react to Silva’s penalty, and one supporter is adamant that this attempt alone warrants an immediate move away from the Manchester giants.
