
Man City star Riyad Mahrez agrees terms with Al-Ahli – sources
Man City star Riyad Mahrez is closing in on a move to Al-Ahli, sources have told Football Insider.
Talks between the club and player are at an advanced stage.
Mahrez is believed to have agreed personal terms with the Saudi Pro League side and and is happy to make the move.
The 32-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad but could be the latest Premier League star to make the switch to Saudi.
Al-Ahli are reportedly set to offer the Algeria international £43million per season plus bonuses on a two-year contract that would include the option of an extra 12 months.
Mahrez joined the Sky Blues from Leicester City in 2018, two years after helping the Foxes to a remarkable Premier League title win.
Since joining the Cityzens, the winger has won the English top flight four times, the FA Cup twice, the League Cup on three occasions and after the 2022-23 season he added the Champions League title to his City accolades.
The attacker has been a firm favourite under Pep Guardiola and made 47 appearances across all competitions in their treble-winning season last term.

He netted 15 goals and offered up 13 assists in 36 starts for the English champions.
Since his arrival in 2018 Mahrez has made 236 appearances for the Cityzens with 78 goals and 59 assists to his name in what has been an incredibly successful stint in Manchester.
