‘Man City to terminate Kyle Walker’s contract immediately’ – reaction
Man City fans were left furious with defender Kyle Walker after their 2-0 Champions League defeat to Juventus on Wednesday (December 11).
The 34-year-old captained Pep Guardiola’s side for the full 90 minutes in Turin as City suffered their seventh defeat in their last ten games across all competitions.
Walker has been in and out of the City side, starting ten of his 14 games across all competitions, yielding a total of 975 minutes of action.
The right-back has featured in five games during Man City’s dismal ten-game run, playing in two defeats, two draws, and their sole win over Crystal Palace.
Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic opened the scoring with a header which was judged to have just crossed the goal-line before former Leeds United midfielder Weston McKennie secured all three points with a bicycle kick.
City now face the very real threat of exiting the Champions League at the first hurdle, sitting in 22nd in the new league phase with French giants PSG up next.
Man City fans want Kyle Walker out of their club as dismal run continues
City face Ruben Amorim’s Man United on Sunday (December 15) in arguably the most important Manchester derby for quite some time.
