Man City told to accept Bernardo Silva offer and complete signing of star lined up to replace him – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has backed Man City to sign James Maddison in the summer transfer window amid uncertainty over the futures of Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 26-year-old can pick out a pass as well as City superstar Kevin de Bruyne.
According to the Daily Mail (31 January), Man City are plotting a summer move for Maddison as Premier League rivals enquire about the England international’s availability.

The report claims Leicester City are “increasingly unlikely” to hold onto the midfielder – who has entered the final 18 months of his £100,000-a-week contract.
Football Insider revealed on 9 December that the Foxes told Newcastle United that it would take £60million to prise Maddison away from the King Power Stadium mid-season.
The playmaker has managed seven goals and four assists in 16 appearances this season – but recently missed six games with a knee injury.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “He’s definitely a player who would suit them.
“You look at that Man City midfield and there is Gundogan and Bernardo Silva – both players who might not be at the club much longer.
“There’s space for another midfielder.
“He’s proven that he can provide assists and goals in the Premier League. On his day he can pick out a pass as well as Kevin de Bruyne.

“I think he’d be a great signing.
“I do feel though, there will be other clubs in for him. Newcastle don’t have a number 10 at the moment.”
