Man City urged to reject Bernardo Silva offer after source’s £40m reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has told Man City to do everything they can to keep hold of Bernardo Silva.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said Silva’s head could be turned by offers from a “big club” but urged him to stay at the Etihad.
On Saturday (26 November), sources told this site that City have offered the 28-year-old a new contract that is worth more than £40million in total.

The Sky Blues are hoping to tie down the Portugal international after Pep Guardiola signed a two-year contract extension.
Silva is seen as an integral part of Guardiola’s team and part of his long-term vision for the club.
The midfielder was linked with Barcelona in the summer and subsequent reports suggest the Spanish giants could try again in January.
When asked if a big club could turn Silva’s head, Hutton told Football Insider: “Of course when you get to a certain age and you have been at a club for a long time, you might start to think that you need a fresh challenge, to go to another country.
“He will have to factor all that in. If it was me, and I was Pep at Manchester City I want him to stay.

“I think he gives you so much. The young boys can learn so much from him as well. Of course if a big club comes in it can turn your head but we will have to wait and see.
“I think he is an outstanding player. I would not want to see him go.“
