Man City will accept ‘£50m’ Bernardo Silva offer after ‘big’ reveal – sources
Man City star man Bernardo Silva will be available for £50million in the upcoming summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old has a release clause to that effect in his contract at the Etihad Stadium, which was renewed last year (2023) after speculation surrounding the midfielder’s future.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (21 May) that French giants Paris Saint-Germain are once again pushing to land Silva in the off-season.
City will hold out for the Portugal international’s full £50million release clause to sanction a deal in the off-season.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that PSG boss Luis Enrique is a “big fan” of Silva and believes he will long continue to be “sensational player” as he looks to kick-start the post-Kylian Mbappe era at Parc des Princes.
Barcelona are also long-term admirers of the six-time Premier League winner but are unlikely to be able to come up with the funds to make a deal happen.
PSG told to pay ‘£50m’ release clause to land Man City star Silva
It is believed Silva is now keen to move abroad and take on a new challenge this summer.
The midfield ace has made 48 times across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, starting in 42 of those outings.
He has racked up 11 goals and 10 assists and has the opportunity to add to that tally in the FA Cup final on Saturday (25 May).

The ex-Monaco star, who turns 30 in August, is under contract at City until June 2026.
Silva has been named in Portugal’s European Championships squad for this summer’s tournament and has already notched 11 goals in 88 caps for his country.
In other news, 29-year-old is “very unhappy” at Man City.
