‘Man United being ruined by INEOS’ – Paul Scholes rips into owners as fans fume

Man United fans have slammed their new ownership for the way they have been treated since the takeover after Paul Scholes blasted how they have been running the club.

Results on the pitch have been dismal under the Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS ownership, while decisions made off of it have proven to be extremely unpopular.

From removing Sir Alex Ferguson’s global ambassador role and scaling back staff Christmas perks to the decision to cut over 250 staff members in cost-cutting measures, United fans have been left frustrated with the club’s direction.

INEOS recently decided to hike the ticket prices for fans which hasn’t been met with a positive reaction, particularly considering they currently sit 13th in the Premier League table.

Scholes weighed in on the situation on The Overlap by saying, “They have been in charge for nearly a year now and everything is still negative. I can’t think of something positive that they’ve done for the football club.

“Things are getting worse on the football pitch so couldn’t they have just said they’d do cheaper tickets, could’ve they just give us something positive. How can you ask Manchester United fans to pay more money with what’s on the football pitch?

“£66 for a ticket is ridiculous, if you think of Manchester, there are so many deprived areas and Sir Jim Ratcliffe himself is from Failsworth, which is a deprived area.

“If you take one kid with you that’s £120, if you take a family, you’re looking at £300-400, it’s not right.”

Man United fans are furious with the owners

Scholes’ sentiment has been shared with many United fans who have become frustrated with their treatment by the owners.

Fans claimed it’s time to “vote with their feet” to force a change while others claimed Ratcliffe is a “fraud.”
