Expert issues emphatic Man United claim as Cristiano Ronaldo spotted at Yorkshire club
Man United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness is as good as ever as he trains alongside Sheffield United in Lisbon.
That is the view of medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in injury and data analysis.
Ronaldo, 37, has asked to leave the Red Devils this summer, just 12 months after he re-signed from Juventus.

The legendary forward did not travel with the rest of the squad for United’s pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.
The Daily Mail reported last Sunday (17 July) that he has been spotted training at the same facility as Championship side Sheffield United in Portugal.
Dinnery assessed why the all-time great chose the base in Lisbon as the best place to maintain his fitness ahead of a possible Old Trafford exit.
“We’re talking about Ronaldo in his homeland here,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“This facility is the Portuguese equivalent of St George’s Park. He’ll be more than familiar and comfortable with his surroundings there.
“If he wants to train there, there aren’t going to be many who are talking him out of that. His fitness is never in doubt.
“If he is hankering on a move away from United, he wants to demonstrate that he still has a lot to offer in terms of his fitness and ability to play and train at the highest level.”

Ronaldo scored 24 times in 38 apperances in 2021-22.
He is under contract at United for another season, with the option to extend the deal for a further year.
