Man United close in on goalkeeper signing after confirmed news today
Manchester United have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
The Red Devils are reportedly close to agreeing a £17.3million deal for the Belgian shot-stopper, who kept 10 league clean sheets for Antwerp last season.
On the opening weekend of the Premier League season, Man United were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal, courtesy of a Riccardo Calafiori header.
Number two goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was at fault for the goal, as his failed punch fell straight to Calafiori, who couldn’t miss.

Senne Lammens left out of Antwerp squad amid Man United rumours
Amid the rumours of a move to Man United, Lammens was left out of Royal Antwerp’s squad for their game against KV Mechelen on Sunday (24 August).
The 23-year-old had featured in each of the Belgian side’s first four league games of the season, hinting that his sudden omission could be associated with his potential exit.
United have been linked with the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Emiliano Martinez this summer, as they look to add to their goalkeeping ranks, but it now looks likely that they will bring in Lammens.
However, the incoming is not expected to impact the future of Andre Onana, who has been touted for a potential Old Trafford exit.
The Red Devils could still sell Onana before the window closes, but Lammens is not coming in as the Cameroon international’s replacement.

‘Man United miss out on Premier League star‘
Meanwhile, Man United are reportedly set to miss out on a deal to sign long-term target Martinez from Aston Villa.
That is according to their former chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that Ruben Amorim’s side have cooled their interest in the 32-year-old.
As a result, he is growing increasingly likely to stay at Villa Park beyond the end of the transfer window and remains part of Unai Emery’s plans.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa, and West Ham, insisted United have made a “huge mistake” by not pushing for a deal.
