‘Man United dressing room reeling at catastrophic new Ruben Amorim reveal’

Man United are suffering a “catastrophic” dressing room crisis after Ruben Amorim’s latest comments, according to their former chief scout.

Mick Brown, who spent over a decade at Old Trafford during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that the boss has only inspired more negativity and doubt behind the scenes.

This follows the boss’ claim that he has told his players any of them cold be sold come the end of the season given the club’s difficult financial situation.

Ahead of the FA Cup defeat v Fulham, Amorim told TNT Sports: “I’m quite honest with my players… They already know that sometime they have to move on at the end of the season.”

That comes after Brown told Football Insider that Man United could sell Kobbie Mainoo in an effort to balance the books after their previous transfer failings.

However, he has now explained that the players will be questioning their long-term futures at Old Trafford which is likely to directly impact their performances.

The ongoing negativity and constant public criticisms of the players has led to questions about Amorim’s man-management skills and ability to cultivate a positive atmosphere behind the scenes.

Ruben Amorim slammed after latest Man United criticisms

Brown has previously been critical of the boss’ media presence as he told Football Insider Amorim has broken the “golden rule” at Man United by publicly criticising hiss players.

Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience working closely with elite managers including the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Ron Atkinson, has insisted that Amorim can no longer expect the players to give 100% for the club on the pitch.

It’s going to be catastrophic for the dressing room morale,” he told Football Insider.

“You’re essentially telling the players that they’re not wanted and are dispensible.

“Even if that’s true, you don’t have to say it, it’s just ridiculous.

“He’s adding more and more negativity to this squad – as if they didn’t already have enough of that.

“A major part of football has always been about cultivating a positive atmosphere in your dressing room and looking for the positives even in difficult positions.

“Since Amorim came to Man United, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all.

Almost every week he’s got a new criticism of the players and their abilities.

“The whole thing is a shambles, it doesn’t stack up in any way, shape or form.

“Even if you’re at the point where players are going to have to be sold, telling them half way through the season isn’t doing anyone any favours.

“How can you accept them to give 100% live or die on the field for you when they don’t know if they’re going to be at the club beyond this season.

“It’s a major issue with man-management and that seems to be a running theme.”

Aston Villa and Barcelona race to sign Marcus Rashford permanently

Another man-management failure under Amorim’s watch has been the position of Marcus Rashford and his role in the Man United squad.

Following heavy public criticism of Rashford from the Man United boss, the forward left to join Aston Villa on loan and has been a revelation at Villa Park.

The 27-year-old has picked up three assists in six games since the move, and is making clear progress towards reaching his best level once again.

As a result, the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich want to sign Rashford and could make a move for his signature following the end of his loan spell.
