Man United Exclusive: Ruben Amorim makes Casemiro U-turn
Casemiro is still likely to exit Man United this summer despite Ruben Amorim changing his mind on the veteran midfielder, sources have told Football Insider.
The 33-year-old has been one of United’s better performers in recent weeks and months after being sidelined in Amorim’s early tenure at Old Trafford.
Amorim confirmed he has pulled a U-turn on Casemiro before the clash with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday (27 April).
He said: “Casemiro is the best example. He wasn’t playing and then you see the last games he’s having a part, he’s performing quite well, he’s playing all the time, I like to change my mind, if they change my mind I like that, I want to put the best players in my team.”
Man United ready to let Casemiro leave
However, sources say United will have to consider parting with the Brazil international if a good offer arrives for his services.
Saudi Pro League sides have previously been linked with the midfielder, who won five Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
Casemiro has just one year left to run on his contract at Old Trafford but is one of the highest earners at the club.

The 33-year-old will play a key role for Man United as they bid to win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League next season.
He has made 37 appearances across all competitions this term, notching three goals and three assists.
United paid an initial £60million plus £10million in add-ons to land the midfielder almost three years ago.

Gyokeres to Man United is ‘a done deal’
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Monday (28 April) that Man United are confident their move to sign Sporting CP superstar Viktor Gyokeres is a “done deal”.
United have been working hard behind the scenes to reach an agreement and now feel they are in a strong position to finalise an agreement.
Gyokeres, 26, has hit an incredible 52 goals in 48 appearances across all competitions this term and leads the European Golden Boot race.
