Man United fans are all in agreement over Noussair Mazraoui after his display vs Newcastle

Manchester United haven’t held back on social media after Noussair Mazraoui’s error-strewn display against Newcastle on Sunday.

The Red Devils depart St. James’ Park with their tails between their legs after a 4-1 battering by Eddie Howe’s side, shipping three second-half goals all too easily after going into half-time level at 1-1.

Alejandro Garnacho silenced the home fans with United’s equaliser on the counter-attack after Sandro Tonali had volleyed Newcastle ahead, Ruben Amorim’s side were a clear second-best after the break.

A catalogue of errors at the back from the Red Devils saw them play straight into Newcastle‘s hands in front of a fervent St. James’ Park atmosphere, as Amorim’s debut season in red goes from bad to worse.

Noussair Mazraoui left with nowhere to hide after Newcastle error

Although Barnes had put a dominant Newcastle 2-1 in front just four minutes into the second half, the visitors could still see the points there for the taking – that was until Mazraoui gifted them a third goal.

Collecting a backwards pass from the woeful Manuel Ugarte as Newcastle pressed the Red Devils into their own half, Mazraoui failed to pick out a team-mate and slipped over under pressure from Barnes.

The former Leicester City winger gladly stole possession from the Moroccan and tore through the heart of United’s defence, smashing his second goal past Altay Bayindir to make it 3-1 and seal the result.

Man United fans’ final straw breaks at St. James’ Park

The Red Devils weren’t done with laying goals on a plate for Newcastle after Mazraoui’s slip, with keeper Bayindir, brought in for Andre Onana after his own turbulent week, gifting Bruno Guimaraes their fourth.

Man United‘s number three was singled out by several fans though, with Mazraoui “given hell” by Barnes in the eyes of one supporter and others admonishing his part in Amorim’s “embarrassing” defensive line.

With some fans pointing out that Mazraoui’s form in 2025 has been a huge drop-off from his displays at the start of his United career, the 27-year-old is yet another player whose Old Trafford future looks bleak.
