Man United fans explode at Alejandro Garnacho after Marcus Rashford pictured in new kit

Alejandro Garnacho’s latest social media post has sent Manchester United fans into uproar with his future at Old Trafford in doubt.

Man United have work to do in the transfer market as Ruben Amorim attempts to revitalise a squad which limped to 15th placed in the Premier League last season, and without the prospect of European football.

Matheus Cunha’s £62.5million switch from Wolves is a strong start, but outgoings are arguably more important to United’s summer transfer business with a plethora of high-earning, out-of-favour players.

Returning loanees Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are all priorities for United to sell on permanent deals this summer, but Amorim has told Garnacho to find a new club after his off-field antics at United.

Garnacho sends Rashford message amid Man United uncertainty

Amorim is happy to see the back of Garnacho at Old Trafford this summer and the Argentine could yet join their Premier League rivals Chelsea, but his online activity certainly hasn’t helped United’s cause.

Garnacho has again sparked controversy in an Instagram post (22 June) which included a photo of the 20-year-old posting in a Rashford shirt, albeit not one which the 27-year-old has donned for United.

The shirt in question was one worn by Rashford during last season’s loan spell at Aston Villa, a loan spell which has helped repair the forward’s reputation and left Unai Emery intent on signing him permanently.

The England international commented; “my brother”, below Garnacho‘s post in a show of support, but the youngster’s decision to display his feelings on Rashford has left many Man United fans up in arms.

Garnacho as good as gone for Man United fans – ‘get rid now’

Red Devils fans have long since been split on Garnacho’s future with Man United after inconsistent performances and attitude problems, but his latest actions have united supporters behind Amorim.

The Portuguese’s decision to sell Garnacho now makes plenty of sense in the eyes of previously on-the-fence United fans, one of whom said that both the Argentine and Rashford should be sold “right now”.

Garnacho’s post was seen as “a pop at Amorim” after his decisions regarding both players, and with pre-season just weeks away, fans are desperate for United to “cleanse the dressing room” before it’s too late.
