Man United fans rage at ‘bitter’ Gary Neville after new Marcus Rashford claim

Man United fans have taken to social media to hit out at former player Gary Neville for his recent comments about Marcus Rashford.

Rashford, 27, took a trip to New York to watch a basketball game at Maddison Square Garden after missing out on a place in Lee Carsley’s last squad as interim England manager.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast, Neville questioned the professionalism of Rashford and teammate Casemiro, who made the trip separately.

“The professionalism, looking after your body and making sure you’re best prepared for the next training session is critical to every decision you make during the season.

“They (Casemiro and Rashford) have chosen that international break. If you are talking about the minor details in being as professional as you can be and as prepared you can be for a training session on a Monday night, that isn’t the best choice of venue.

Both Rashford and Casemiro were present for new manager Ruben Amorim’s first training session at Man United on Monday (November 19).

The winger has struggled so far this season, scoring just four goals and providing three assists across 18 appearances in all competitions.
