Dr Dan ‘overwhelmed’ as document reveals £126m Man United windfall
Man United have an extraordinary ability to produce huge revenue regardless of how they are performing on the pitch.
So says finance guru and new Football Insider columnist Doctor Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively about United’s most recent quarterly results.
The Red Devils posted revenues of £126.5m for the three months up to September this year, up from the £109m in the same quarter last year.

Their total loss meanwhile was £10.2m, down £16.9m than in the same period in 2020.
United have been bolstered over the last 12 months by the readmission of fans into stadia as pandemic restrictions have been slowly eased.
As a PLC floated on the New York Stock Exchange, the United are obliged to results four times per year rather than once annually.
Plumley explained the revival in United’s financial performance and highlighted their unerring ability to churn out consistently high revenues.
The Sheffield Hallam University expert told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “The differences between this report and Q1 last year are mainly pandemic-related.
“The biggest increase in the figures is matchday revenue, £1.7m to £18.8m. That has swung the figures in favour of the club in terms of their revenue.

“That is the single biggest change. The numbers are overwhelming in that United seem to deliver good results from a revenue period every single time.
“That performance seems to be irrespective of what is going on the pitch at the time, or indeed the situation at board level.”
