Man United in ‘turmoil’ as Erik ten Hag leaks lambasted – pundit

Man United remain in turmoil despite the start of pre-season under Erik ten Hag

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about fresh leaks out of the Old Trafford dressing room.

As per the Daily Mirror (7 July), Ten Hag has introduced five “commandments” at Man United as he looks to stamp his authority on his new players.

The report claims stars have been banned from drinking alcohol during game weeks, have been told not to use personal chefs – and will have their BMI checked by the club on a monthly basis.

Former Man United managers Ralf Rangnick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had their tenures undermined by behind-the-scenes leaks.

Kenny is disappointed with the continuous leaks.

“There have been things leaking about the rules Ten Hag has put in place,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I find that disappointing. Someone is leaking it. Man United look in turmoil, still. They are still trying to sign players but no one is coming.

“Ronaldo’s future is up in the air but it looks like he wants to leave. There is a lot of lost goals there if he leaves now.

“We were expecting this overhaul and that hasn’t really happened yet. I think it is still worrying times for Man United.”

Man United have flown out to Bangkok for their pre-season tour without last season’s top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, speaking in a press conference on Monday (11 July) Ten Hag claimed he has no intention of selling the attacker.
