Man United installed as favourites to sign Sandro Tonali, Liverpool and Arsenal odds revealed
Man United are the favourites among all interested clubs to sign Sandro Tonali if he decides to leave Newcastle this summer.
Tonali has continued to be a key player for Eddie Howe this season as Newcastle chase Champions League qualification, with starts in 23 of their 27 Premier League games.
His standout performances have seen him linked with a move back to Italy, but it emerged on Deadline Day of the January window that Arsenal were pursuing a shock deal for Tonali after his agent offered them a deal.
Their interest was quickly rebuffed by Newcastle, but it has left questions around his long-term future at St James’ Park, even though his current contract runs until 2029.
Several other top clubs have him on their radar, and Man United are now believed to be the frontrunners to land his services if he does leave Tyneside.

Man United are 4/1 to be Sandro Tonali’s club after summer window
Sources have told Football Insider that Tonali would be open to joining Man United this summer, but he is not considering his future at Newcastle as it stands.
United are facing numerous question marks around their midfield ahead of the next window, with Casemiro set to leave the club and ongoing links to the likes of Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton.
Recent rumours around Tonali’s future have seen one of the UK’s leading bookmakers price up the odds on the club that he will be contracted to after the end of the summer window, and he is currently 1/5 to stay at St James’ Park.
The Red Devils have, however, been listed as the 4/1 favourites to sign him if he does leave the club, ahead of the likes of Juventus and Arsenal (both 5/1), as well as Liverpool (6/1) and PSG (8/1).
What has Howe said about Tonali’s Newcastle future?
Howe will obviously want to keep hold of his best players this summer, but Newcastle look set to miss out on Champions League qualification and so could face a real tough task in retaining their biggest assets.
The Magpies manager spoke publicly about Tonali’s future on Tyneside and admitted that he had held talks with the Italian earlier this month following rumours of a potential move to Arsenal.
He said: “Sandro’s very happy here. He’s got a great relationship with me and his teammates and he seems really, really, happy within himself.
“I don’t see an issue, but I’m not in control of everything. If I knew where everything [rumours] came from I’d be wiser. But Sandro is absolutely fine. I had discussions with him yesterday. His focus is on the here and now with us.
“There’s no issue with Sandro. He’s happy and committed. But our best players will always be attracting glances from other clubs – that’s just the reality of football.”
