Man United land £150m payout as Liverpool blown out of the water
Manchester United earned significantly more money through shirt and merchandise sales than any of their Premier League rivals last season.
Man United have been making efforts to boost their commercial income despite a decline in on-field performances in recent years.
As per new official Uefa documents, the Manchester giants raked in £150million from shirt and merchandise sales in the 2024-25 campaign.
That is a notable improvement on Man United’s figures for 2023-24, where they generated £127m – the same amount as Liverpool.
However, Arne Slot’s side only recorded a marginal increase last season, having brought in £129m in their title-winning campaign.

How Man United’s shirt sales compare to Premier League rivals
Man United’s earnings saw them ranked fourth in the world for shirt and merchandise sales behind Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Hansi Flick’s side surged to the top of the charts after their figures improved dramatically from £149m to £242m as a result of their new kit deal with Nike.
Meanwhile, Arsenal leapfrogged Liverpool into fifth spot, having strengthened their numbers from £105m to £132m last season.
Tottenham and Chelsea also made it into the top 10 after bringing in £89m and £83m across the campaign.
Manchester City remained in 11th place with £74m, while Newcastle United and Aston Villa broke into the top 25 after generating £35m and £23m.
How Liverpool could blow Man United away with £100m deal
Man United’s lucrative deal with Adidas is a key reason behind their shirt and merchandise success.
The 20-time English champions’ 10-year deal with the German kit manufacturer is worth £900m across the lifetime of the contract, while Arsenal bank £75m a season from the same supplier.
Elsewhere, Liverpool earned a guaranteed £30m a year and 20 per cent royalty on net sales of club products from their Nike deal, which expired last summer.
The Merseyside giants switched suppliers to Adidas at the start of this season, handing them the opportunity to earn more than their Premier League rivals.

Football Insider previously revealed Liverpool could earn more than £100m a year from their new deal with Adidas.
However, it is understood reaching that figure will be dependent on shirt sales and on-field performances.
Liverpool currently sit sixth in the Premier League, while Arsenal hold a five-point lead over Man City at the top of the table, but Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.
