‘Man United make immediate Ruben Amorim sack decision amid serious pressure’
Ruben Amorim will face “serious pressure” at Man United if his side fail to win the Europa League this season, according to their former chief scout.
Mick Brown, who spent over a decade at Old Trafford during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that failure to beat Tottenham will ramp up the pressure on his position.
While it is unlikely he will be sacked immediately after the final, failure to show dramatic improvements next season could see him dismissed.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Amorim is expected to be Man United manager at the start of next season regardless of the outcome of the final.
The Red Devils have dropped to 16th in the table following a 2-0 defeat at home against West Ham, nine positions lower than their worst-ever Premier League finish.
Meanwhile, Amorim has raised further alarm bells at United with recent press conference quotes after recently suggesting he may not be right for the job.

Man United to make Ruben Amorim sack decision
Brown previously told Football Insider that Amorim is under serious pressure at United and “serious questions” have been asked about their dismal domestic form.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience working closely with elite-level managers including the likes of Ron Atkinson and Sir Alex Ferguson, has insisted that the boss is running out of excuses and must improve next season.
“It’s been an absolutely pathetic season at Man United,” he told Football Insider.
“There’s going to be serious pressure on the manager going into next season, especially if they don’t win the Europa League final against Tottenham.
“I don’t think he’ll be sacked immediately, but he has to show improvements next season.
“He still hasn’t established his style of play, and saying he needs new players and time to work with them isn’t an excuse when things have been this bad.
“Of course, some of the players in that team aren’t good enough for Man United.
“But I don’t see any way that gets better because he hasn’t shown he can help them improve.
“I see after the West Ham game he said ‘I might not be the right man for the job’.
“He comes out with these statements in the press which are not becoming of a Man United manager.
“There are doubts about how and where he’s going to get things right, even if he’s given players who fit his system better than the current ones do.
“If things don’t get better next season, what do they do? You can’t stick with him when things clearly aren’t working, so a big decision will have to be made.”

Jonathan Tah decision made amid Ruben Amorim claim
As United plan to back Amorim with new players in the transfer window, they have been heavily linked with a move to sign Jonathan Tah as a free agent.
However, Brown told Football Insider that United are unlikely to sign Tah amid doubts over whether he would be the right fit for the manager’s system.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both believed to be in the running for the German international after his agent has held talks with a number of top clubs.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Newcastle United want to sign Tah but will struggle to compete with the likes of Madrid and Bayern.
