Man United mocked after Marcus Rashford image emerges at Aston Villa

Man United have been mocked by a former Aston Villa player after a new image emerged of Marcus Rashford at his new club.

Rashford was heavily linked with various Man United exits in the January transfer window after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim.

In the end though it was Aston Villa he made a move to, joining on loan until the end of the season, when there will be an option to make that deal permanent.

Now Agbonlahor has taken aim at Man United over their treatment of Rashford following his arrival at his new club.

The attacker certainly came under fire during the latter part of his time at Old Trafford prior to completing his move away.

Amorim froze Rashford out at Man United and even claimed he would rather include 63-year-old goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital on the bench than the forward at one point.

Agbonlahor has therefore indicated that Rashford will be pleased to have got away from the Red Devils, to link up with Unai Emery‘s side.

Taking to X, the former Villa striker posted a picture of the attacker in training with his new club with John McGinn, along with the caption: “At a club that makes him happy!! UTV”.

Marcus Rashford has chance to turn thing around at Aston Villa

Images such as this will be encouraging for those of a Villa persuasion such as Agbonlahor himself.

There were always going to be questions about whether this move would payoff, but the fact he does seem to be settling well quickly will add to hopes that will happen.

Given how far down the pecking order at Man United he clearly was, it was vital Rashford got out of Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Staying would have risked his career stagnating, which would have felt like an immense waste of his undoubted talent.

As it is, he will now get the opportunity to rediscover his touch at the very top level with Aston Villa having included Rashford in their Champions League squad for the second half of this season.

Man United will no doubt be taking a keen interest in that situation to see if they have made the right decision to let him go, and if Villa will trigger their option to buy on him this summer.
