Man United move ‘appealing’ for Harry Kane after journalist’s update – expert

Tottenham striker Harry Kane would be open to the idea of joining Man United this summer.

That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Red Devils’ reported interest in the 28-year-old.

According to The Athletic‘s Laurie Whitwell (28 March), Man United want Kane, regardless of who is their manager next season.

It is said that super agent Jorge Mendes is already scouring Europe for Spurs to find a potential replacements for the England captain.

Tottenham retained the services of Kane last summer despite multiple bids from Manchester City.

When asked for his assessment of United’s chances, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “I can see it happening.

“I can certainly see him going to Man United if [Mauricio] Pochettino is there.

“Regardless of what position they are in now, this is United we are talking about. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world. Manchester United are up there with Barcelona and Real Madrid. The opportunity you get at United is potentially a better one than at Spurs.

“As much as it would pain me to see him there, I could see it being a great fit. Kane wants trophies in the cabinet. He is far as way from winning that at Spurs then he has ever been.

“I think the opportunity to join Manchester United would appeal to him.”
