Man United news: ‘Big conversations’ underway amid ‘carnage at Old Trafford’ – pundit

Man United are having “conversations” about their summer moves today after being knocked out of the Champions League.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the club’s next move.

Man United crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night (15 March) after losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford.

The only thing Man United have left to play for this season is a top-four place though Arsenal, who currently occupy fourth, are one point ahead and have three games in hand.

Kenny insists attention will now turn to the summer with the club set for a “massive” overhaul.

“It’s carnage at Old Trafford,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“They got a great result at Atletico last week and they were probably the favourites to go through last night.

“It just shows what Man United are about at the moment, they are so hit and miss.

“You see how well they played against Tottenham at the weekend then they perform like they did last night.

“Every game you just don’t know what you are going to get. There needs to be a massive rebuild.

“It’s another season without a trophy and it’s just a position you never thought they would be in.

“Big conversations will be going on at Man United now, talking about the summer because their season is over.”

The Red Devils are next in action against Leicester City on 2 April.

They could be seven points behind Arsenal by then as they will have played two of their games in hand.

In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Man United have forced the Premier League’s hand as a £41m deal is terminated.
