Man United news: Jesse Lingard under police investigation over deleted video

Man United academy product Jesse Lingard is in hot water with the South Korean police following a video he posted to Snapchat.

According to South Korean news outlet YTN, Gangnam police in the capital city of Seoul have started a ‘pre-indictment investigation’ into the 31-year-old.

Lingard is accused of riding an electric scooter without a license in the Apgujeong-dong district late on Monday evening.

The attacking midfielder is said to have uploaded a video of him doing so onto his Snapchat before quickly deleting it.

The police have since become aware of the incident and have opened the investigation.

Lingard joined FC Seoul back in February following his release from Premier League side Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022-23 season.

He has since gone on to make 18 appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals and providing zero assists in the process.

The former England international scored against Daejeon Hana Citizen on September 14th, but his efforts weren’t quite enough as FC Seoul fell to a 3-2 defeat.

The South Korean giants currently sit in fifth place with 46 points as their season approaches the business end with eight games remaining.
