Man United news: Pundit issues ‘big’ Jadon Sancho claim after confirmed news
Jadon Sancho is starting to look like he is in his best form at Man United but he still needs to perform in the “big games”, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted it is not the time to “get carried away” with Sancho.
The winger has a goal and two assists in his last three Premier League appearances and was named in the starting XI as United drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last night (23 February).
His resurgence has coincided with a move to the left of Ralf Rangnick’s front three when he was originally brought in to solve the club’s problems on the right.
Rangnick told club media earlier this month (12 February) he still wants to see more consistency from the England international.
“He’s looking a lot better but I wouldn’t get carried away with performances against Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Brighton are a good team but he needs to do it in the big games before we can fully judge Jadon Sancho.
“All he can do is play against the teams he faces and he’s doing a lot better.
“Marcus Rashford couldn’t get on the pitch against Leeds so it shows Jadon Sancho is impressing his manager.”

Sancho now has four goals and two assists in 29 games across all competitions for Man United since his summer move from Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2026.
