Man United news: Pundit makes ‘huge’ Cristiano Ronaldo claim after source’s update
Paul Robinson has claimed “it is difficult” to put a price tag on Man United striker Cristiano Ronaldo because of his “huge commercial value”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one insisted the 37-year-old’s marketability “cannot be underestimated.”
Ronaldo has told Man United that he wishes to leave the club this summer.

The Portugal international is keen to join a club competing in the Champions League.
A Chelsea source told Football Insider (7 July) that the London club are preparing a £14million bid for Ronaldo.
The striker has 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford.
When asked by Football Insider for his valuation of Ronaldo, Robinson said: “It is difficult to put a price tag on him because of his age and what he offers a club commercially.
“Yes, you are buying a world-class player who has been one of the best throughout his career. He is still very much able to play at the top level despite his age.
“His commercial value off the field cannot be underestimated. Whichever club sign Cristiano Ronaldo immediately sells millions of shirt.

“If you buy Ronaldo you are buying one of the world’s best. He scored 18 Premier League goals in a really poor Man United side last year. He proved that he can still play at the top level.
“You are also getting huge commercial value. He is such an asset off of the field.”
