Man United news: Pundit swipes at Rangnick and reveals why there is a serious ‘problem’
Paul Robinson has insisted Ralf Rangnick still has “defensive problems” to address at Manchester United after Sunday’s 4-2 win over Leeds United.
The former Leeds goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted on-field issues should be more of a concern for the Red Devils rather than what is happening behind closed doors.
As quoted by the Manchester Evening News on Sunday (20 February), Rangnick claimed the win at Elland Road was the “perfect” response to the reports of “disruption” in the changing room.

The Mirror (17 February) claimed Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire were at loggerheads in a power struggle behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
Robinson hailed the “character” and “strength” shown by Manchester United at Elland Road.
However, he insisted the defending still left much to be desired.
Asked if he thought the win would dispel the noise surrounding Manchester United, Robinson told Football Insider’s Dylan Childs: “This will not go away.
“They showed a lot of character and they showed a lot of strength. They didn’t look like a team that are disjointed.
“However, they looked to me like a team with defensive problems. There were far too many chances conceded.
“They conceded two at Elland Road and their goalkeeper has made the most saves in the Premier League so far. It’s not what you’d expect from a Manchester United side.
“But they didn’t look like a disjointed team or a team that look like they have internal problems.
“The manager’s quashed that with the discussion of the captaincy. Ronaldo’s a leader, whether he’s got the captain’s armband or not.
“You want players like that in the dressing room, you want 11 leaders. Who wears the armband is at times irrelevant because everyone’s got to lead by example.
“That will die down, that’s been put to bed between now and the end of the season.”

Maguire scored the opening goal at Elland Road before Bruno Fernandes made it 2-0.
Leeds scored twice in one minute to level, before Fred and Anthony Elanga wrapped up victory for Rangnick’s men.
