Man United now want to sign Lewis Dunk – report
Man United are reportedly keeping tabs on Brighton defender Lewis Dunk.
The England international is entering the final two years of his contract with the Seagulls, and the 20-time champions are monitoring the situation.
According to Fichajes, United are interested in signing Dunk because of his “experience and leadership.”
The Premier League giants want to sign an experienced centre-back next summer because the club is facing potential defensive departures.
Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire, and Victor Lindelof’s long-term futures are all uncertain, which is why United are monitoring Dunk.
Dunk could be the latest defensive signing made by Erik ten Hag, who added Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, and Noussair Mazraoui to the squad this summer.
Man United could depend on Lewis Dunk’s experience
Dunk has been under contract with Brighton since 2010 and has made 462 appearances for the club in all competitions.
244 of those have taken place in England’s top flight as Dunk has risen to be a dependable presence at the back for the Seagulls, regardless of who has been in charge of the team.
The 32-year-old can also provide a goal threat, having scored 31 times throughout his career.

Man United have only kept one clean sheet so far this season and conceded three during their embarrassing defeat to Liverpool.
The Premier League giants will be back in action on 14 September when they travel to St. Mary’s to play Southampton.
