Man United now willing to reluctantly accept Sancho offer – sources
A surprise Man United exit for Jadon Sancho is possible this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
With the rumoured takeover of the club dragging on, it is believed club chiefs are now exploring alternative ways to raise funds for their summer transfer business.
Man United are targetting a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and marquee striker – as well as other key areas of Erik ten Hag’s squad.
As such, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Red Devils could reluctantly consider accepting offers for Sancho, 23, this summer – just two years after his move from Borussia Dortmund.
It is believed the winger could be sacrificed if the right offer arrives for his services.
Sancho has not played the best football of his career since arriving at Old Trafford in a reported huge-money £73million move back in 2021.
He has turned out 79 times for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals and adding six assists.
The winger’s contract at the club runs until June 2026 and earns him a reported wage of £350,000-a-week.
Sancho has been capped 23 times for England but his last appearance for Gareth Southgate’s side came in October 2021 – just months after his move to Man United.
He started the final three games of the 2022-23 campaign, notching one goal and one assist.

Man United are yet to make a summer signing with takeover uncertainty still looming over the north-west giants.
Parties led by Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Radcliffe have made several bids for the club but the situation is no closer to a resolution with the 2023-24 season on the horizon.
