‘Man United senior figures tee off on lazy Rasmus Hojlund with exit imminent’

Rasmus Hojlund is on a dismal run of form at Manchester United, and important figures within the club are starting to lose patience with the striker.

The Dane has managed just four league goals so far this season, and his all-round game has looked poor and simply not at the level that United require.

Reports are circling that Hojlund’s Man United team-mates are becoming frustrated with their misfiring forward, and are often reluctant to pass to him.

However, with Zirkzee out injured, Ruben Amorim has no choice but to continue with the 22-year-old, and hope things improve.

United face Tottenham in the Europa League final, in what is the last chance for the Red Devils to save their season, but it could mark Hojlund’s swansong.

United chiefs ready to cut losses

Hojlund came to Old Trafford from Atalanta, but has so far failed to live up to his £72million price tag, and now may have run out of chances.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News’ (17 May) Chief Man United reporter Samuel Luckhurst, senior figures at the club are now free to make their feelings known, as they know that their striker will be leaving in the summer.

Luckhurst added that some at the club believe that Hojlund does not work hard enough.

Football Insider exclusively revealed last month (17 April) that Man United are prepared to sell Hojlund for a cut price, with Juventus a potential destination for the Denmark international.

Amorim to make change in attack

Football Insider Verdict

With Amorim set to remain in charge of Man United, despite the rumours of a potential sacking, the Portuguese manager will be desperate for a positive window.

United are already guaranteed their worst-ever Premier League finish this season, and they could end the campaign as low as 17th.

Many of the struggles have come in attacking areas, and the Red Devils are already making moves in the transfer market to correct that.

Man United are interested in bringing in Matheus Cunha, with the Wolves forward also fancied by a number of other Premier League clubs.

Amorim also wants to sign Antoine Semenyo, who has 14 goal contributions in the league for Bournemouth.

Whoever ends up coming in, the United fans will hope that they can score goals, so they aren’t subjected to another year of Hojlund failing to impress.
