Man United sensation bids farewell as ’13-year spell’ ends with permanent move

Ruben Curley has sent a message to the Man United fanbase after his departure from Old Trafford was officially confirmed.

The 19-year-old midfielder has made the move to Stoke City where he will join the Under-21s setup to start with.

Football Insider revealed that United rejected Stoke’s initial approach, only for the deal to go through later on during deadline day to confirm the move.

The central midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Potters, bringing an end to his 10-year association with United.

Curley had been named the Scholar of the Year for the Premier League giants last season after United’s Under-18s won the league and cup double, where he played a key role.

United had the option to extend Curley’s contract but opted to let the teenager leave the club to continue his career.
