‘Man United set for huge boost as Anthony Elanga deal is all but done’

Manchester United are set to receive a transfer boost as a big-money deal is edging closer.

Ruben Amorim is looking to strengthen his side this summer afte failing to qualify for European football in 2024-25.

Man United finished 15th in the Premier League table, while they lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

The 20-time English champions have signed Matheus Cunha after agreeing to pay the £62.5million release clause in his Wolves contract.

They are also looking to move several high earners on to boost their transfer budget over the coming weeks.

The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are all available for a transfer after returning to Old Trafford following their loan spells.

Football Insider revealed on 1 July Man United are expecting low offers for Rashford.

The England international has no long-term future at Old Trafford, but sources say moving him on is proving increasingly difficult due to his high wages.

The 27-year-old is believed to be on around £325,000 a week, with his contract set to run until 2028.

Man United set for significant payout after Anthony Elanga reveal

Man United could be set for a seven-figure windfall over the coming days as a transfer is edging closer.

The Mail reported on 3 July Newcastle United are on the verge of agreeing a deal with Nottingham Forest for Anthony Elanga after submitting an improved £55million offer.

The newspaper said Man United are owed an estimated 15 per cent of any transfer fee for Elanga, having sold him to Forest for £15million in 2023.

That would provide Amorim’s side with an £8.3million windfall, which would likely be added to the Portuguese manager’s transfer budget this summer. A huge boost at such a time.
