Man United slammed as ‘absolute mess’ after new Carrington images emerge – pundit

Man United are an “absolute mess” and Sir Alex Ferguson’s visit to Carrington has not done them any favours.

That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the current crisis at Old Trafford.

United have not won in any of their last four outings in the league and were thumped 5-0 at home by fierce rivals Liverpool on 24 October.

That has left manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has not won a trophy in three years at the helm, under cranium-crushing pressure.

Ferguson was snapped by Manchester Evening News leaving United’s Carrington training complex two days after the seismic Liverpool defeat.

The party line is that the 13-time Premier League-winning manager was attending a suit fitting and did not speak with Solskajer.

But the optics of the situation do not work in the beleaguered Norwegian manager’s favour, insists Kenny

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “It’s difficult because there is a manager of a massive club who is really struggling.

“If you get the former manager, who is an absolute legend, turning up and giving you advice and support, it can be a little bit patronising.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Man United

“I don’t like it, if I’m brutally honest. I doubt Solskjaer will like it either. You could say it goes against what he’s trying to do there.

“They’re an absolute mess at the moment and I don’t think stuff like this going to help anyone.
