Man United news: Medical expert issues verdict on Cristiano Ronaldo starting v Tottenham after update
Cristiano Ronaldo could be available for selection for Man United against Tottenham tomorrow (12 March).
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Ronaldo is currently sidelined with a hip flexor injury and missed United’s humbling 4-1 defeat at Man City last Sunday (6 March).

The Times reported on Wednesday (9 March) that Ronaldo had not yet trained with the first team and is still troubled by his persistent hip issue.
That is despite flying out to his native Portugal in order to seek treatment with his own personal physios, per The Telegraph the same day.
But Dinnery suggests that United could make a late call to include the 37-year-old in the squad to face Spurs.
“It’s nothing new,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“He has been managing and playing through this. Given the mechanism of injury, it can become a little bit inflamed and problematic.
“Again, there are no definitive timelines, this could be an injury where he spends a few days away from the club and returns this weekend.
“The fact there was an outside chance pre-Man City, that gives you an indication that it was a close call. I can see him in the squad for Saturday.”

Ronaldo has netted 15 times and supplied three assists in 30 appearances for United this season.
The Red Devils are one point outside the top four, but 4th-place Arsenal have three games in hand.
In other news, Man United “go all out” to land “by far the best candidate” Thomas Tuchel.
