Man United three-man shortlist has revealed perfect candidate to replace doomed Solskjaer - pundit
Brendan Rodgers is “the outstanding candidate” to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Man United, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Premier League striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the 48-year-old’s experience and trophy record puts him ahead of Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino.
This site revealed on November 10th the United board will sack Solskjaer if he does not oversee a revival immediately after the international break.
Speaking on the Football and Friends podcast (November 9th), the reliable Fabrizio Romano revealed Rodgers, Ten Hag and Pochettino are the three managers the club “appreciate”.
Campbell is adamant Rodgers would be the best option.
“You can look at Brendan Rodgers as the outstanding candidate,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“He knows the league and he has done a fabulous job at Leicester.
“What could he do with those players? The squad they have got is phenomenal.
“Ten Hag has done a fantastic job at Ajax with a young side but he hasn’t got as much experience.
“Pochettino hasn’t won anything. That will get levelled at him. He has been in the Premier League, built a good side but didn’t win anything. He’s won nothing.
“You need to be a winner at Man United. That is what is hampering Ole. He got to a European final, like Pochettino, and didn’t win it. Pochettino hasn’t done it yet.”
