Man United tipped to axe Harry Maguire amid ‘surprise’ claim – pundit
Paul Robinson has urged Man United manager Erik ten Hag to axe Harry Maguire for the visit of Liverpool on Monday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said Raphael Varane has to start at Old Trafford.
Varane has been an unused substitute in the Red Devils first two Premier League fixtures of the season.

Maguire has started alongside summer signing Lisandro Martinez in losses against Brighton and Brentford.
Speaking to club media (13 August), Erik ten Hag said he’s “surprised” by the ease at which his side have conceded goals this season.
United welcome rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford on Monday.
When asked by Football Insider if he would make any changes to the defence for the next Premier League fixture, Robinson said: “Martinez has struggled so far.
“Maguire has been all at sea as well.
“There is a lack of cohesion between him and Harry Maguire. That relationship is just not working.
“They get no protection whatsoever though. There seems to be no communication.

“If I was Ten Hag, I would bring in Varane alongside Martinez. Varane is the best centre-half that they have got.
“Martinez was a player the manager wanted to bring in so I think he will stick with him. I think it has to be Varane and one other though. I was surprised that he didn’t play against Brentford.”
