Man United tipped to seal Harry Kane signing after ESPN update – pundit
Man United could sign Harry Kane if Mauricio Pochettino becomes their new permanent manager.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 28-year-old’s future in north London.
On Saturday, Kane starred for Spurs in a 4-0 win over Leeds United at Elland Road.
According to ESPN‘s Mark Ogden (21 February), the England captain could be targeted by United if Mauricio Pochettino leaves Paris Saint-Germain to take over at Old Trafford.
Kane’s contract with Spurs runs until the summer of 2024.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Kane potentially joining the Red Devils, Campbell said: “I can see it happening.
“It wouldn’t surprise me, put it that way.
“We are watching Harry Kane do the business for Spurs again. I can’t help but think he would be doing that for City every week if they had pulled the trigger. It is crazy.
“Look, Kane is England captain and he is a great striker. He is a top-class goalscorer. He is always going to be linked with a move, especially after what happened last summer. It will be interesting to see what happens this summer.
“Spurs have been alright of late but let’s be honest, no love has been lost between Kane and Daniel Levy. I think it will be a case of watch this space.
“Will [Cristiano] Ronaldo be at United next season?

“Pochettino would want Harry Kane if he goes in there. They worked so well together. It will be an interesting one to watch over the summer.
“If [Antonio] Conte stays though he will want to keep him.”
