Man United to demand ‘big fee’ for Wan-Bissaka amid source’s reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has claimed West Ham are facing a “big stumbling block” in their attempts to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Man United this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted United will demand a “big” fee for Wan-Bissaka and may not even be interested in selling him come the end of the season.
On Monday (10 April), sources told this site that the Hammers are monitoring the 25-year-old ahead of a potential summer bid.
The right-back has fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag and the Irons are keen to table a bid this summer, provided they steer clear of relegation this season.
The defender will have a year left on his United contract at the end of the season that includes the option of a further 12 months.
When asked if Wan-Bissaka could be convinced of a move to the London Stadium if the Hammers stay up, Hutton told Football Insider: “Absolutely.
“If we are talking about just as a defender, West Ham need to strengthen and there is no doubt he is one of the best 1v1 defenders that there is as a full-back.
“The problem he has got at Man United is that you need to do that but you need to go forward and create in the final third. That is not his strength.

“If West Ham were to stay up I think it could be an interesting move for them, I think he could definitely make them better but the fee is going to be the big thing, probably a stumbling block.
“He has done well under Ten Hag so will Man United be willing to sell him and what would the fee be? They are the big questions.“
