Man United told to ‘get really serious’ after finance guru’s ‘£1billion’ reveal – pundit
Man United are “in desperate need of change” and must “get serious” about remodelling Old Trafford, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, urged the Red Devils to undertake a revamp of their stadium just as Real Madrid did at the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Santiago Bernabeu is currently undergoing a £439million makeover which will modernise the famous ground – as well as increase capacity to over 85,000.

According to the Daily Mail (14 March), building an entirely new stadium is one of three options currently being discussed by Man United officials.
A revamp of Old Trafford’s South Stand and a makeover of the stadium’s hospitality facilities have also been considered.
Campbell insisted a Real Madrid-style remodelling would be “the best option” for the Red Devils.
“Man United are in desperate need of change,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“Either they need a completely new stadium, or they have to really get serious and completely revamp Old Trafford.
“It’s starting to look so tired. It needs brightening up, refurbishing. The stadium needs a new look.
“Real Madrid had to do it to the Bernabeu. They were lucky enough to be able to play their games at their training ground during the pandemic because it’s an unbelievable facility.
“Or do they knock it down and rebuild it completely? I just think completely remodelling the ground is probably the best option.”

Football Insider finance guru Dr Dan Plumley claimed (21 March) building a “historic” new stadium could cost Man United around £1billion.
Old Trafford, nicknamed the Theatre of Dreams, was opened in 1910 and has a capacity of 74,140.
