Man United v Tottenham: Top-four hopes over as expert issues bold prediction

Tottenham can end Man United’s top-four hopes if they win at Old Trafford on Saturday.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham travel to Old Trafford on Saturday evening (11 March) looking to build more momentum in their hunt for Champions League football.

The Red Devils are reeling after last weekend’s 4-1 loss to Man City while Spurs are riding high after a 5-0 win over Everton on Monday (7 March).

Wenham is backing Spurs to pick up all three points to boost their own hopes of securing a top-four finish.

“We had a setback but I’m glad to say we are on an upward trajectory now,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“We need to be going to Old Trafford and getting at least a point. If I’m honest, we should be going there to win.

“Our record there is very, very good compared to most other teams. I think we have won five or six of our last 10 visits there.

“That includes inflicting their biggest ever home defeat in the Premier League last season.

“There have been loads of great victories, 3-0, 3-2. I’m confident of a result and I’m really looking forward to it.

“The big thing to consider is that if we win, that is Man United out of the top-four race.

“They have played three more games than Arsenal and they are already being them.

“If we go there and win, I don’t see a way back for them. That’s the motivation for the players.”
