‘Man United will accept Alejandro Garnacho offer’ as £30m claim issued
Man United have shown their hand in the future of Alejandro Garnacho – with the winger widely expected to be sold this summer.
According to The Independent (10 June), United want £70million for the Argentina international – who has no future at Old Trafford after clashing with Ruben Amorim.
However, Football Insider has revealed (16 June) that his valuation and the club’s negotiating position has been dented by leaks emerging from United on the bust-up with Amorim.
Garnacho and the United boss came to blows just days after the Argentina international expressed his unhappiness at being left on the bench for the Europa League final against Tottenham last month.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested United will have to give interested clubs a discount.

‘Man United are feeling the financial pinch’, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted Man United are feeling the “financial pinch” of poor on-pitch performances and may have to offer a £30million discount on their original £70million price tag.
Aston Villa, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the interested parties in the Premier League – with Napoli and Atletico Madrid also monitoring the situation from overseas.
Wyness insisted United could accept offers of between £40-50million.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “The £70million valuation does seem high.
“This plays into exactly the conversation about Man United being under the financial pinch a little bit because of sponsorships.
“Other clubs know that Man United need to get that money in from players, and so your negotiating position is weakened.
“I believe Garnacho could be going for somewhere between £40-50million, but they may have wanted £60-70million.
“With Garnacho, there’s no doubt he’s a talent. I think £40-50 million could be where he could go. Man United are going to be willing sellers right now, so let’s just see how this plays out.”

Man United set new stance on £85m striker deal
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (17 June) that Man United are unlikely to pursue a summer deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
Frankfurt want close to £85million for the France Under-21 international – but the Red Devils cannot afford a deal at that price.
The German side are not in a position where they must sell Ekitike, who is under contract until June 2029, and therefore are able to hold out for that figure.
