Rashford was loaned out to Premier League rivals Aston Villa last season following Ruben Amorim’s clear message that the forward was not part of his future plans at the club.
Barcelona is the 27-year-old’s dream destination and he was handed a boost in his hopes of a move when there top target, Nico Williams, committed to staying at Athletic Bilbao.

Rashford working hard ahead of possible move
Rashford has taken to social media to post pictures of him working out as he looks to keep himself in shape ahead of a possible move.
The forward captioned the post: “No days off,” which Fernandes liked.
Fernandes has remained a key player at Old Trafford under Amorim and will lead the team as captain again next season after declining an offer earlier in the transfer window to move to Saudi Arabia.

Football Insider Verdict
Ahead of pre-season starting again, Rashford is keeping himself in top shape ahead of his expected United exit.
Rashford only wants a move to Barcelona and he will be expected to hit the ground running should he move to the Camp Nou.
He wants to continue playing at the top level and Barcelona can offer him Champions League football, as he has said he has the ambition to make Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad next summer.
The forward’s phenomenal 2022/23 season, when he scored 30 goals in all competitions showcased his abundance of talent.

He has failed to hit the same heights since, although his loan spell at Villa showed positive spells of his natural ability.
Despite his desire to play for United, Amorim is heading in a different direction with his plans for the squad.
Amorim has signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and is keen to add Bryan Mbeumo to his attacking ranks.
He also wants a central striker, and needs to reassess his options after missing out Viktor Gyokeres who looks set to join rivals Arsenal.
Rashford could have proved a useful asset, but it looks like another club will benefit from his services.
