Man United’s Marcus Rashford reacts to Kyle Walker message amid exit links
Barcelona linked Marcus Rashford continues to increase transfer speculation as he has reacted to a post by former Manchester City star Kyle Walker.
Rashford was one of five players who told the club of his desire to leave United this summer, although he has later denied this.
The 27-year-old accepts his is not under manager Ruben Amorim’s future plans and has his sights set on a move to Barcelona.
The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa scoring four goals and registering six assists in 17 appearances.

Walker training post prompts Rashford reaction
Walker has recently joined Premier League newcomers Burnley on a two-year deal, linking up with former team mate and now Clarets manager Scott Parker.
The 35-year-old also went out on loan in the second half of last season to AC Milan before being left out of Man City’s Club World Cup squad.
The former Spurs defender took to Instagram (7 July) to share photos of his first few days training with his new team mates at Burnley, which Rashford liked.

Rashford unlikely to follow Walker’s lead
Football Insider Verdict
Whilst Walker has left trophy laden City for promoted Burnley, it is unlikely Rashford will take a similar approach to his own transfer saga.
The forward’s wage demands means only a handful of Europe’s elite clubs can pay his financial package, and he doesn’t look to be exploring anywhere else other than Barcelona.
Unai Emery would have kept him at Villa following his positive loan spell, but amid PSR restrictions a move was not financially feasible.
Rashford does need a fresh start to his career following a frustrating period at United and a move abroad looks likely.

Barcelona were pursuing Nico Williams as their top target, before the winger signed a new 10-year contract at Athletic Bilbao, boosting Rashford’s hopes of a move.
Rashford was last capped by England in March 2024, and is said to want to be in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad next summer.
A move out of United is therefore paramount as Amorim is looking to replace Rashford at Old Trafford with his own signings.
