‘Man United fan Luke Littler reacts to major Bryan Mbeumo update’
Manchester United have been chasing a deal for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo throughout the summer transfer window.
The Cameroon international enjoyed a stellar Premier League season for the Bees last term, notching 20 goals and seven assists in 38 top-flight appearances.
Meanwhile, Manchester United lacked attacking prowess, with first-choice striker Rasmus Hojlund managing a return of just four goals in 32 Premier League outings.
Largely thanks to their poor attacking displays, the Red Devils finished just 15th in the top flight last term, while they were also beaten by Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Littler reacts as Manchester United seal Mbeumo agreement
With the new Premier League season underway next month, Manchester United were closing in on Mbeumo.
The Old Trafford club have now agreed a deal worth up to £71million, including add-ons, for the 25-year-old, as reported by The Athletic on Friday, 18 July.
Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano wrote on Instagram on 18 July: “Here we go! Man United agreed £70m deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
“Green light from Brentford and club-to-club agreement reached for £70m package, as The Athletic reports.
“Contract agreed weeks ago with Mbeumo as he only wanted Manchester United move, deal now sealed.
“After (Matheus) Cunha, Mbeumo next for Manchester United. The saga is finally over.”
Darts world champion Luke Littler liked the post, showing that he approves of the Red Devils’ latest transfer business.
Ruben Amorim must discover Mbeumo’s best position in pre-season
Football Insider verdict
There is no doubt that Mbeumo boasts the credentials to thrive at Manchester United, having enjoyed a prolific season with Brentford.

The Cameroon international should prove to be an even more dangerous attacker when paired in attack with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Cunha.
However, the notable goalscoring form that Mbeumo displayed for the Bees last season came from the right wing, whereas Ruben Amorim does not use conventional wingers.
The Man United boss has instead remained insistent on deploying a wing-back system, which utilises two attacking midfielders behind Hojlund.
Therefore, Mbeumo will have to adapt to a new position to succeed at Old Trafford.
Amorim must use pre-season to discover whether the 25-year-old is better suited to acting as a main striker, or if he would perform better as part of his double ‘number 10’ axis.
The North West side are set to face friendly matches against West Ham United, Bournemouth, and Everton in the USA, allowing Mbeumo to settle into his new surroundings.
