
Marcus Rashford breaks silence on quitting Man United for Villa
Marcus Rashford has broken his silence regarding his Man United status after weeks of being frozen out of the team following is confirmed transfer away from Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old has officially moved to Aston Villa on a loan deal until the end of the season, after falling out of the squad under Ruben Amorim.
The United boss has publicly called Rashford out for the effort he has put in during training as the main reason he hasn’t been featuring under him.
The England international last played for the 20-time champions in the Europa League on 12 December and has featured 24 times in all competitions this season.
Unai Emery’s side lost Jhon Duran earlier in the transfer window as he moved to Saudi Arabia, with Rashford coming in as a replacement to provide competition to Villa’s attacking areas.

Rashford came through United’s academy and has been at the club ever since, making his first-team debut in 2016.
The versatile forward has gone on to score 138 goals for the club with seven of those coming this season, while he has also played 60 times for England during that spell.
Rashford took to Instagram to issue a statement on his move by saying, “I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.

“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the managers’ ambitions.
“I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
