Marcus Rashford could quit Man United for another club if Barcelona deal collapses – Insider
Marcus Rashford’s future has been subject to plenty of speculation again after a strong start to life under Hansi Flick at Barcelona.
The Man United loanee has scored three goals and picked up five assists in 10 appearances across all competitions this season and continues to impress in Spain.
Rashford has no long-term future at Man United, and is likely to secure a permanent move away should he enjoy further success at the Camp Nou.
Football Insider revealed on 29 September that Rashford’s move to Barcelona has hit a stumbling block due to the financial pressure on the club.
As a result, a number of top clubs across Europe are believed to be keeping tabs on his situation in case Barcelona decide against signing him on a permanent deal.

Marcus Rashford has his heart set on permanent Barcelona move
Despite the growing interest from elsewhere, Rashford is believed to have his “heart set” on a permanent move to the Camp Nou after his strong start.
That is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during their most successful period, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the England star is keen to sign a long-term deal.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 14 October that Rashford’s chances of joining Barcelona have been boosted amid cuts to their wage expenditure.
“Marcus Rashford is a bit of an enigma,” Brown told Football Insider.
“He’s a very talented player who can do things that not a lot of other players can, but the position he plays and his way of playing can mean he doesn’t see a lot of the ball.
“When he does get possession in and around the box, he’s very dangerous, but sometimes you have to carry him through games.
“He’s a magnificent player to have if your side is good enough to do that, but it wasn’t at Man United.
“Since he’s gone to Barcelona, he had a bit of a slow start but he’s becoming more involved and more of a part of that team with his recent form.
“It’s a sad thing from Man United’s point of view that I don’t see him coming back, but I have no doubt there are a lot of clubs keeping an eye on his situation.
“If he doesn’t stay at Barcelona, there will be no shortage of interest in him, especially if he can keep up the form he has shown.
“But ideally I think he’s got his heart set on staying at Barcelona and hopes he can stay there long-term, and if he keeps performing I don’t see why they wouldn’t keep him.”
While he has thrived since joining the Spanish giants, Roy Keane has told Rashford he can reach the “next level” if he improves his goal and assist numbers.
Rashford highly unlikely to return to Man United
While his current spell at Barcelona is only a loan, and he will return to his parent club next summer as things stand, the forward has no future at Man United.
Rashford was tipped to return to Old Trafford if Amorim leaves the club, with speculation linking Gareth Southgate with the position should it become available.
Southgate is a fan of Rashford after working with him during his spell as England boss, leading to claims he could bring him back into the fold if given the United job.

However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to support Amorim and recently revealed he would be prepared to give him as long as three years to turn their recent results around.
After the very public bust-up between Amorim and Rashford, there is no way the winger will return to the first-team plans while he remains in charge.
